The importance of the BR mar law in promoting cabotage as an alternative for cargo transportation at the Port of Santos

The general objective of this article is to show the importance of the BR Law of the Sea in promoting cabotage as an alternative for cargo flow in the Port of Santos. It begins with the theoretical foundation, in which the objects of study are conceptualized, through relevant authors and sources, as well as listing relevant information about cabotage operations and cargo transit in the Port of Santos. Regarding the methodology, bibliographical research was used to review literature and consult secondary data. Finally, in view of the final considerations, is reflected the value added by the BR Law of the Sea (Law no. 14.301/22), associated with cabotage as a route in the face of the increase in cargo flow at the Port of Santos.
