Abstract

Digital accessibility is an increasingly relevant topic today, especially given the growing use of mobile applications for everyday activities. In the field of urban mobility, platforms such as Uber, 99, and BlaBlaCar represent solutions widely used by the population; however, for users with low vision, these tools still present challenges that compromise usability, autonomy, and safety. The general objective of this study is to investigate the accessibility conditions in these platforms, seeking to identify interface barriers and propose UX Design guidelines that promote the digital inclusion of this audience. To achieve this purpose, the specific objectives include conducting a literature review on inclusive design, the technical evaluation of popular applications under criteria such as contrast, fonts, and screen reader support, and the identification of critical usability flaws. The research is conducted through a technical and comparative survey, analyzing how the applications adapt to the specific needs of low vision. Finally, the paper proposes practical recommendations for designers and developers, aiming to mitigate the identified obstacles and enable more effective and accessible mobile interfaces.
