Abstract

The emergence of artificial intelligence utilizing Natural Language Processing (NLP) has popularized the release of books, poetry, and screenplays produced by machines. This study aims to analyze the consequences of this phenomenon for the literary market from both marketing and social perspectives. To this end, a study on how NLP operates within generative writing will be conducted, alongside an analysis of the case in which Amazon implemented measures to restrict AI-generated books in its virtual store. Additionally, a bibliographic research on the social importance of literature for human well-being is presented. Initially, it is hypothesized that artificial intelligence has caused negative impacts on the publishing market by generating low-quality, mass-produced works, making it difficult to distinguish original content while diminishing the artistic essence of works, thereby stripping society of their inherent benefits.
